Breathwork in water

Breathwork in water, a path to deep relaxation and inner freedom

Breathwork in water combines the deeply relaxing effects of conscious breathing and floating. Water at body temperature (about 36.5°C) creates a safe space where you can relax both physically and emotionally. The lightness of the water allows the body to release tension and the mind calms quickly.

A warm water session is a unique opportunity to reach deep within yourself. Connected breathing in water helps relieve stress and birth-related traumas, subconscious patterns and inner tensions that prevent you from moving forward in life. It is a very gentle yet effective way to experience inner freedom and vitality.

Breathwork in water at Hingamiskeskus

Why in warm water?

Breathwork in water takes place in water at 36.5°C, which matches the body's natural temperature. In such an environment the boundary between body and water disappears, creating a feeling of weightlessness that allows the muscles and mind to fully relax. The supporting force of the water holds you so that you do not have to make any effort.

Warm water activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for rest and recovery. Together with conscious connected breathing, relaxation deepens quickly and reaches deeper layers of body and mind than on dry land.

What does the session look like?

The session takes place in a floating bath under the guidance of an experienced therapist. You are calmly guided into breathing while the warm water supports your body. The process lasts on average 1 hour and includes both an active breathing phase and a calm integration.

Many participants describe the experience as a deep release: the body lets go of tensions you did not even know you were carrying. Some experience emotional release, others deep peace and clarity.

Who is it for?

Breathwork in water is suitable for everyone who seeks a deeper experience than ordinary relaxation. It is especially beneficial for those who carry old tensions or emotional patterns. The water creates a safe and supportive environment where the body can naturally release what it has held for years.
